2006
The founding
Two professionals, two complementary worlds. Michelangelo with his Elettro Service and Paolo with M@c decided to combine expertise and vision to build something different. EM srl was founded in Viareggio, at the heart of the Italian yachting refit industry.
The objective has been clear from day one: to bring to the most demanding contexts a quality that large construction sites, under time and cost pressure, are unable to guarantee.
The early years
Roots in the yachting world
EM grew by working on vessels. Complex refits, yachts from 30 to 65 metres, clients who accept no compromise. These were the years when the method took shape: three distinct commissioning phases, precise documentation, a single point of contact for the entire project.
One of the founders worked in parallel as an independent surveyor — the figure appointed by the owner to oversee build quality at the yard. Following vessels through the construction process from the inside gave us something no course can teach: we know where problems originate before they become failures.
Growth
Becoming the reference in the Mediterranean
Year after year, EM’s reputation in the yachting sector grew stronger. Yards sought us out, captains recommended us, owners returned. Not for the price — for the reliability.
The vessels we work on do not cause problems. This was the period when we developed our monitoring system: on the KNX installations we deliver, every anomaly is identified precisely and notified in real time to our team, the captain and the yard.

Evolution
From sea to shore
Our yachting clients began asking for more. Could the expertise we apply on board — the attention to detail, the design logic, the long-term monitoring — be brought to private residences and prestigious villas?
The transition happened naturally — not as a change of direction, but as an extension of what we already knew how to do. The same standards we apply on a 50-metre yacht, we apply in a coastal villa or a luxury showroom.
Our standards — stability, scalability, rigour — became the thread running through every project, on water and on land.
Today
One method across all sectors
Today we operate across yachting, residential, commercial and industrial sectors with the same structure we started with: a certified technical team, design managed in-house by a senior figure, a process refined over twenty years of field work.
We are still in Viareggio.

Co-founder, CEO and technical lead.
A certified naval construction surveyor, he oversaw the build of dozens of yachts at the most important yards in the Mediterranean. He brings to every project a knowledge of these environments that can only be built by working inside them for years.
